Notes |
|
1. Chicago
Bears(9-1) |
1 |
Back on top of the heap. They now
must feel like the Meadowlands is their home a way from home! The
Bears now go to New England to see just how good they really are. |
2.
San
Diego Chargers(8-2) |
1 |
The chargers may be the best team in
football right now. They can score points with the best and once
Sean Merriman returns you know that defense will be better. They are
the only AFC team that we think can win anywhere they play. |
3.
Indianapolis
Colts(9-1) |
2 |
We had a feeling that the cowboys
would give them their 1st loss and they did. The loss is actually
good for them, now they will need to play all the way out to try and
lock down home field advantage. The Eagles, without McNabb are next
and so is win #10. |
4.
New
England Patriots(7-3) |
4 |
They bounced back nicely wouldn't you
say? 35-0 at Lambeau Field is impressive. They now get to show the
Bears what a championship team does at home. It should be the game
of the week. |
5.
Baltimore
Ravens(8-2) |
- |
Yes they have won 8 games, but we
still think the other shoe is about to drop. They still have to play
the Steelers, Bengals and Browns again in 2006. |
6. Denver
Broncos(7-3) |
4 |
QB Jake Plummer is under the gun. He
has played poorly the past 2 weeks and now must travel to Kansas
City on Thanksgiving Day. The Broncos are sliding and the Chiefs and
Chargers are surging. This is a must win game for them. |
7.
Dallas
Cowboys(6-4) |
3 |
We thought they would beat the Colts.
With their defense playing exceptionally right now and QB Tony Romo
energizing the offense they are a threat in the NFL. The Bucs will
be no match for them on Turkey Day and they will be in 1st place in
the NFC East when week 12 is in the books. |
8. Jacksonville
Jaguars(6-4) |
8 |
They are the yo-yo team of the NFL.
How they can lose to the Texans at home and then blow out the Giants
is beyond comprehension. They will now travel to Buffalo to play the
Bills in cold weather. A win is far from guaranteed. |
9.
New
Orleans Saints(6-4) |
3 |
The sign of a good team is how it
bounces back from defeat. So far the Saints are not bouncing back
after losing 2 in a row. Now they travel to face another wounded
team in the Falcons. They need to win to stay step for step with the
Panthers in the NFC South. |
10. New York
Giants(6-4) |
1 |
QB Eli Manning looked lost for 3
quarters. They are suffering from a ton of injuries at key
positions. Their slide could continue as they go to play a Titans
team on the rise. |
11. Kansas
City Chiefs(6-4) |
- |
Winning 17-13 to the Raiders at home
is not impressive. If not for an interception in the end zone at the
end of the game they could be .500. The Broncos are coming to town
and they are desperate. |
12.
Carolina
Panthers(6-4) |
2 |
Another win ay home, this time
shutting out the Rams. The defense keyed the win along with rookie
RB DeAngelo Williams. Williams now will get his chance to shine with
starter Deshaun Foster injured. |
13. Seattle
Seahawks(6-4) |
6 |
One game is what separates them from
the Niners, the team that just beat them. They are far from the team
that went to the Super Bowl in 2005 and are not a lock to win the
NFC West. The Packers are coming to town and they are grateful for
that. |
14.
Cincinnati
Bengals(5-5) |
2 |
This team is scoring a ton of points
and it looks like the defense finally stepped on Sunday in New
Orleans. The injuries they have though may be more then they can
over come. An improved Browns team will give them all they can
handle Sunday. |
15.
New
York Jets(5-5) |
3 |
We told you that if they won they
would crack the top 10. Sadly the Bears did just enough to beat
them. They are a team on the rise, but the playoffs may elude them
this year. They get the Texans at home and more then likely win #6
as well. |
16. Atlanta
Falcons(5-5) |
1 |
Does anyone have a parachute for this
team? Oddly, even after 3 straight losses, they are still just 1
game out of 1st place. The Saints are coming to town and the Falcons
hope to march them out with a loss. |
17. San
Francisco 49ers(5-5) |
4 |
They are the most improved team in
football and have now surpassed their win total from 2005. All of
this without their #1 pick TE Vernon Davis as well. They may not win
the NFC West this year, but they have served notice that the Niners
are back. |
18. Miami
Dolphins(4-6) |
2 |
There may not be a hotter team in
football right now. The defense is playing out of their minds and
they are eaking back into the playoff picture. They travel to play
the Lions, who are always dangerous on Thanksgiving. Another win and
the Dolphins could crack the top 15! Who would have thunk it?! |
19. Pittsburgh
Steelers(4-6) |
5 |
A gift win is a win none the less.
They were dominated for 3 quarters, but when the game was on the
line made the plays necessary to win. The Steelers, like the
Dolphins are still thinking playoffs and that makes them a handful
for any team. |
20. Philadelphia
Eagles(5-5) |
7 |
This team is done. Without QB Donavan
McNabb this year and next, the Eagles will be lucky to hit the .500
mark. |
21.
Buffalo
Bills(4-6) |
5 |
Finally QB J.P. Losman showed the
Bills faithful that he can be the QB of the future there. He led the
Bills to a come from behind win on the road in dramatic fashion. The
Jaguars come to town this week and they will need to play good
football if they want to win 2 in a row. |
22. Minnesota
Vikings(4-6) |
- |
Sliding back, just like the Rams. It
looks like the shine of these first year coaches is wearing off. The
Vikings are a bad team right now, thankfully the Cardinals are
coming to town. |
23.
Tennessee
Titans(3-7) |
5 |
How impressive has this team been in
2006? They have gone toe-to-toe with the Colts and Ravens and now
have beaten the Eagles on the road. They are a year or two a way
still, but like the Niners they are on the rise. |
24.
St.
Louis Rams(4-6) |
6 |
Their 4th loss on a row has the Rams
in 3rd place in the NFC West. Without time to throw QB Marc Bulger
looks average. This team will be lucky to win 7 games. |
25.
Green
Bay Packers(4-6) |
6 |
35-0 in your own house is not only a
loss, it's a season killer. The Packers will try to bounce back, but
the Seahawks won't be merciful. |
26.
Cleveland Browns(3-7) |
3 |
12 out of 13 and 6 straight losses to
the Steelers is horrendous. The game was their's for the taking, but
failing to adjust to the Steelers no-huddle offense spelled doom.
The Bengals will bring the no-huddle to town this week and the
Browns may still be suffering a let down from losing a game they
should have won. |
27. Tampa
Bay Buccaneers(3-7) |
4 |
They beat a Redskins team that was
starting a QB for the 1st time. Not too much to be happy with. They
did run the ball better though and that is the start of finding
success in the NFL. Their 8th loss of the year awaits them in Dallas
Thursday. |
28.
Washington
Redskins(3-7) |
1 |
They have now replaced the Dolphins
as the biggest disappointment in 2006. This team is not good and the
coaching hasn't been much better. Smart money says head coach Joe
Gibbs won't be back in 2007. |
29. Houston
Texans(3-7) |
4 |
They beat the Jaguars on the road and
then come home and lose to a below average Bills team. Bad teams are
that way because they are inconsistent. That's what the Texans are. |
30.
Arizona
Cardinals(2-8) |
2 |
They are out of the hole! Their 2nd
win comes against another 2 win team, but who cares. They may get
their 3rd win of the year, but more then likely it won't be this
week in Minnesota. |
31. Detroit
Lions(2-8) |
2 |
Nothing like Thanksgiving to give
your team a spark. They always play well on Turkey Day and this year
will be no different. With Dolphins QB Joey Harrington returning the
fans should be even more brutal. |
32.
Oakland
Raiders(2-8) |
2 |
Back where they belong, at the
bottom. They are the NFL's worst team and possible worst
organization. The inmates are running the asylum, which is over seen
by an owner who is senile. Not a real good business model in our
minds. |
