Cleveland sports bonanza - The Seats

At one time in American history Ohio was part of the great wilderness, but now Manifest Destiny has been complete. A new kind of undiscovered country exists now in the state-sports.

The Cleveland Indians may be nothing new, having been around since the early 20th century, but the team has often disappeared from relevance as decades of futility have wiped them from sports fans memories. The team threatened to pull a similar act at the end of the 20th century, but the Indians have marched back quickly from rebuilding hoping to once again establish the dominance of the ‘90s.

Progressive Field has changed its name and the new look roster has enough talent so that one bad year should not turn fans away from their Cleveland Indians tickets. Cliff Lee, C.C. Sabathia, and Aaron Laffey are the future of an overwhelming staff that only needs the offense to catch up. Last season the club was able to surprise everyone and take the American League Central, but this season people have kept their eyes on the club.

Ohio is more than just a haven for NFL, NBA, and MLB tickets, the state also has a hockey and a soccer team. The Columbus Blue Jackets have a short history, being founded in 2000. The Blue Jackets have brought hockey back to a state that has been without a team since the Cleveland Barons left in 1978.

The new team plays just a couple of hours away in Columbus. The young club has yet to make it out of the Central Division and into the NHL playoffs, but the future looks good with wings Rick Nash and Nikolai Zhredev and excellent young goalie Pascal Leclaire. Their games are on the verge of becoming a widely known good time and then Blue Jackets tickets will be hard to find.

Not many people may realize it, but the MLS has been around for over a decade and Columbus is home to one of the original teams. The Columbus Crew have unfortunately been able to go unnoticed. The last few seasons have not helped, but it is now 2008 and fans might want to start to pick up their Crew tickets before the rest of the sports nation figures out that the Crew are off to a hot start.

Robbie Rogers, Alejandro Moreno, and Guillermo Barros Schelotto have taken over the offense for Coach Sigi Schmid’s squad. Of course they have a long way to go before bringing the club back to the MLS playoffs and replacing team legends Jeff Cunningham and Brian McBride.
